St. Louis pool firm says it is swimming in enterprise
Homeowners may have to wait up to a year to install a pool, according to a St. Louis company
ST. LOUIS – With many industries struggling to stay afloat during the pandemic, others are drowning in the amount of business they get.
These include pools and spas. Many homeowners are turning their homes into their own place to stay by adding pools and hot tubs to their backyards. The demand is so high right now. If you’re looking to install an inground pool, you might wait almost a year before getting in.
Sales at Prestige Pools and Spas are up over 100% and the company is out of inventory.
“I have pretty much nothing left on the floor and I have made-to-order truckloads waiting to be built,” said showroom manager Chad Moentenich.
Pools aren’t the only thing in high demand right now. People try to garden, buy plants and vegetables. Bicycle sales are also increasing.
Online orders for fitness equipment, home office equipment, board games, and baked goods are reaching all-time highs, according to USA Today.
Just think of it this way, if you can find a new way to fill your extra time, there’s a good chance other people will too. Be ready to do your research to find out what you need, or be patient to stand in line.
